Very Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "C.W. THOMPSON / PO'KEEPSIE," NY State origin, circa 1825, ovoid jug with tooled spout, brush-decorated with a flower emanating from a curved stem. Minor base chips. A few very short lines to bottom edge, probably in-the-making. Molasses or other residue to surface, a large amount of which survives solidified on the interior. H 12 1/4".
