Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Impressed Drape Decoration, Manhattan, NY origin, possibly Clarkson Crolius, Sr., late 18th or early 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled neck, and semi-rounded mouth, decorated with a coggled drape of "fish scale" motif highlighted in cobalt. One drape includes an impressed circle lacking cobalt. Very nice condition with staining to surface and a few base chips. H 14 1/2".
