Two Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware Jars, Western PA and WV origin, circa 1885, both of semi-ovoid form, a two-gallon jar with stenciled and freehand decoration, stenciled "WILLIAMS AND REPPERT. / GREENSBORO, PA," paired with a one-gallon jar, stenciled "A.P. Donaghho / Parkersburg.W.V." Greensboro jar with a long crack from rim on proper left side of jar and two chips to interior of rim. Donaghho jar with chips to interior of rim and an X-shaped hairline to underside, forming two short, vertical lines at base. H (of taller) 11 5/8".
