Three Stoneware Jars, Bell Family, Strasburg, VA, fourth quarter 19th century, all of cylindrical form, a one-gallon jar with manganese swag decoration, attributed to S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA; a three-gallon jar with cobalt swag and floral decoration, stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG;" and a two-gallon jar with cobalt swag and floral decoration, stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG." One-gallon jar with a short hairline from rim, two small rim chips, and in-the-firing residue to surface. Two-gallon jar in excellent condition with traces of paint to surface and some small in-the-firing flaws to surface. Three-gallon jar with areas of restoration. H (of tallest) 13 3/8".
