Very Rare Small-Sized Tanware Presentation Jug, Inscribed "Albert West," New Geneva or Greensboro, PA, circa 1885, ovoid jug with tooled spout, featuring the diagonally-brushed Albany slip name, "Albert West," with wavy lines above and below. Base with stylized floral motif above a freehand stripe. Scarce form, desirable size, and unusual addition of its owner's name. Provenance: Recently surfaced in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small in-the-firing ping at base on reverse. H 5 1/2".
