Eight-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Ohio origin, circa 1875, large-sized, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an artistic slip-trailed design of a bouquet, featuring a sunflower, bellflower, and circular blossom. Slip-trailed "8" above. Exfoliation to surface, most prominent on reverse. Light water glass staining to interior. H 16 1/4".
