Scarce Salt-Glazed Stoneware Vase with Applied Studded Decoration, Middle Tennessee origin, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid form with flaring, crimped rim, the shoulder with raised band embellished with hand-modeled and applied clay studs. Salt-glazed surface, the vase's upper half dipped in reddish-brown slip. Losses to rim. A 5/8" drain hole added to underside. H 10 1/4".
