×Stoneware Vase with Applied Floral Decoration, Southern U.S. origin, first quarter 20th century, ovoid vase with stepped base, flared rim, and applied twig handles with incised bark, decorated on the front with an elaborate applied and incised flowering vine. Composed of unglazed white clay, this vase shows similarities to pieces produced at the Evans Pottery of Dexter, Missouri, among other Southern makers. Losses to two flower petals. Other minor chips. H 11 1/2".
