Graduated Group of Three Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jugs, Stamped "B. B. CRAIG / VALE, N.C.," early fourth quarter 20th century, two ovoid jug, each decorated with a hand-modeled and applied clay face including a row of broken china teeth. Surfaces covered in an olive-colored alkaline glaze with rutile runs. Together with a miniature face jug with bulging eyes and incised mouth, the surface covered in a mottled brown alkaline glaze. All with Burlon B. Craig maker's marks on underside. Surface covered in an olive-colored alkaline glaze with rutile accents. Underside impressed with Burlon B. Craig signature. Middle-sized jug with sticker on underside, inscribed "approx. 15 years old in 1991. / 1975-76 / C.W." All in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of largest) 7".
