Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Pitcher, Stamped "B.B. CRAIG / VALE, N.C.", early fourth quarter 20th century, ovoid pitcher with flared collar, decorated with a hand-modeled and applied clay face, including bulging eyes with eyebrows, large ears, a nose with pierced nostrils, and a mouth with broken china teeth. Surface covered in an olive-green alkaline glaze with green glass runs. Impressed with Burlon B. Craig maker's mark on underside. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 11".
