Rare Stoneware Canning Jar with White-Slip Floral Decoration, attributed to Samuel Routson, Wooster, OH, mid 19th century, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder and tall, flaring collar, decorated with a brushed floral motif in matte white slip over glossy Albany slip. White slip banding to shoulder and base of collar. Provenance: Purchased by Wahler from David Good in 1999. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 9".
