Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Abstract Cobalt Decoration, attributed to Somerset Potters Works, Somerset, MA, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of leaves flanking a looping line motif with spots. A small chip to proper left handle. Some fry to cobalt. In-the-firing flaws to surface, including some iron pings. H 11".
