Manganese-Decorated Redware Jar, attributed to Solomon Miller, Adams County, PA, fourth quarter 19th century, squat, cylindrical jar with tooled banding and flattened rim, the lead-glazed surface decorated with wavy manganese brushwork around the body and a manganese band below the rim, all against an olive ground with orange spotting. A sealed 2 1/2" flake to underside. Thin cracks to underside. Chips and wear to rim. Surface wear. H 6 3/4".
