Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, Inscribed "LAMB," English origin, late 19th century, rectangular, drape-molded form with rounded corners, the lead-glazed interior inscribed "LAMB" in yellow slip, between two wavy lines. Yellow-slip swag decoration to rim. Essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing contact marks in the form of a shallow chips or adhered clay. Dimensions: 12" x 9 1/4".
