Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Grier Pottery, Chester County, PA, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with footed base, tooled collar and galleried rim, brush-decorated around the body with a swag-and-hanging-flower motif. Floral motifs to collar and stripes to spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Two flakes to spout. A tiny nick to rim. An in-the-firing ping near base on reverse. H 8 5/8".
