Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Tobacco Jar with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1880, tapering form with rounded shoulder and semi-rounded mouth, decorated with three freehand stripes and a cobalt-script "2" flanked by dashes. Stenciled with the advertising, "GEO. A. KELLY & CO. / WHOLESALE / DRUGGISTS. / PITTSBURGH. / PA." Entire surface coated in varnish. Otherwise excellent condition. H 12 3/4".
