Fine One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Greensboro or New Geneva, PA origin, circa 1870, semi-ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and tooling to shoulder and midsection, brush-decorated with a large tulip emanating from a long, looping stem with graduated leaves. Two freehand stripes above. Excellent condition with a 7/8" line on underside extending 1 3/4" up base. Minor staining and traces of old white paint to surface. H 9 3/4".
