Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD or James River Valley of VA origin, mid 19th century, ovoid jar with applied lug handles and flattened, semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with a flowering plant bearing clover and wisteria blossoms. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a few minor base chips. H 12 1/4".
