Glazed Redware Jar, attributed to the Henkel-Spigle Pottery, Amsterdam, Botetourt County, VA, circa 1830-1850, ovoid jar with raised shoulder, applied strap handles, and angled rim, the body decorated with two rows of circumferential banding. Lead-and-manganese-glazed surface. A 10" diagonal crack from rim. Surface wear including wear to handles and rim. In-the-firing crawling to glaze. H 11 3/4".
