Two Manganese-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG," VA origin, circa 1890, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders, decorated with brushed manganese swags over kaolin slip and covered in a clear salt glaze. Taller with chips and wear to rim. Smaller with chips and wear to rim, long, tight lines to body, a few base chips, and some wear to interior. H (of taller) 12 3/8".
