Fine Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, attributed to the Davidson Family, Blount County, AL origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tall collar, semi-squared rim, and arched lug handles, the surface covered in a mottled light-brown alkaline glaze. Traces of rutile to shoulder and handle. Provenance: Ex-Doug Fuller Collection. A thin 3 1/2" crack on underside, continuing 4 1/2" up base. Two minor nicks to one handle. Opposing handle with a surface line to underside and a small flake along the handle's top edge. Wear and shallow chipping to rim. H 15".
