Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Buggy Jug with Alkaline Glaze, Rock Mills, AL origin, fourth quarter 19th century, squat-shaped jug with tooled spout and incised straight and wavy line decoration to shoulder, the surface covered in a mottled olive-brown to yellowish-green alkaline. A finely-glazed example of exceptional size and form. Excellent condition with some light surface wear. H 6 1/2".
