Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, attributed to the Timmerman Pottery, Stockton, Lanier County, GA, late 19th century, ovoid form with flaring, semi-squared rim and arched lug handles, the shoulder decorated with wavy line incising between two straight incised lines. Surface covered in a mottled alkaline glaze ranging from olive-green to brown. A 3" loss to rim. Rim chips. Chips and wear to inner rim for lid. A 1 1/4" chipped area to one handle. A small chip and minor nick to opposing handle. H 16 3/8".
