Glazed Redware Jar, probably Hawkins County, TN, circa 1800-1840, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and arched lug handles, the body embellished with the potter's throwing lines throughout. Lead-and-manganese-glazed surface. Exhibited: Tennessee Turned, Earthenware and Stoneware Made in East Tennessee 1800-1900, Museum of East Tennessee History, May 16-October 30, 2011.
