Bail-Handled Stoneware Jar with Alkaline Glaze, Crawford County, GA origin, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid jar with tooled midsection and pronounced, flaring rim with raised molding at its base, fitted with pierced, circular pieces of clay and its original wire bail handle. Surface covered in a mottled dark-olive alkaline glaze. Rim chips. Two chips to molding at base of rim. H (to rim) 7 1/2".
