Alkaline-Glazed Double-Handled Stoneware Jug, Stamped "CJB," Columbus Jackson Becham, Crawford County, GA, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder, slightly-flared spout, and two applied handles at the shoulder, the surface covered in a heavy, olive-colored alkaline glaze. Impressed with Columbus Jackson Becham maker's mark on one handle. A 1 3/4" in-the-firing fissure to base. Various small, in-the-making fissures to surface, which are glazed over and typical of Crawford County, Georgia stoneware. Some glaze lines to base area, likely in-the-firing. Minor wear to handles. H 15".
