Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Catawba Valley, NC origin, second half 19th century, rotund jar with arched lug handles and thin, semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in a flowing, olive-green alkaline glaze with two-tone coloration. Essentially as-made condition with a minor rim chip and some in-the-firing bubbling to glaze. H 12".
