Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher, Stamped "J.H. STONE," Buncombe County, NC origin, late 19th century, ovoid pitcher with tooled midsection and semi-squared rim, the surface covered in a mottled-brown alkaline glaze. Impressed with "J.H. STONE" maker's mark on reverse. Excellent condition with a small rim chip and minor rim nick. H 10 3/8".
