Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Alkaline Glaze, Catawba Valley, NC origin, second half 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout and two vertical handles applied at the shoulder, the surface covered in a mottled green-to-brown alkaline glaze with runs descending from the shoulder, including a long shoulder-to-base glass run. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 19".
