Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Lincoln County, NC origin, possibly Daniel Seagle, mid 19th century, highly-ovoid jar with applied lug handles and thin, semi-rounded rim, the shoulder decorated with a band of straight and wavy line incising, the surface covered in a mottled, olive-green alkaline glaze. Several tight cracks from rim. Rim secured with an old wire. Light wear to interior of rim. A minor chip to exterior of rim. A 1 3/4" flake to one handle. H 12 1/2".
