Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "P," Parker Pottery, Union County, SC, fourth quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, the surface covered in a mottled brown glaze with greenish runs. Impressed "P" for Parker at base on reverse. Made at the pottery of Thomas Owenby's brother-in-law. One spout chip. Glaze wear to handle. Base with some in-the-firing clay residue and minor chipping. H 12 1/4".
