Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Clabber Bowl, Edgefield District, SC origin, mid 19th century, ovoid form with footed base, flaring rim, and applied vertical handle, the surface covered in a gray-green alkaline glaze. Includes old note with erroneous information, which also claims the bowl was made by Samuel Landrum in 1831. Four long cracks from rim. A short crack from rim. Rim with a few small chips and wear. Base chips. H 6" ; Diam. (at rim) 6 1/2".
