Fine Two-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, probably Landrum Brick and Pottery, Columbia, SC, mid 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled spout, the surface coated in a heavy, two-toned alkaline glaze featuring a dark-glazed upper body and overlying light gray-green glaze. Incised "V" on underside. A strikingly-glazed example. Excellent condition with a few base chips. H 15".
