Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, attributed to Thomas Chandler, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and large, arched-tab handles, the surface covered in a greenish alkaline glaze with heavier blue-green runs. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 16 1/2".
