Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Stamped "BROWN POTTERY", Arden, NC origin, circa 1930, semi-ovoid jug with applied facial features, pierced eyes, and open mouth with china teeth, the surface covered in a mottled brown Albany slip glaze. Underside impressed with small "BROWN POTTERY" maker's mark. Provenance: Crocker Farm, Inc., July 20, 2019, lot 379. Shallow chipping to ears. A 2" section of handle reglued. Two minor chips to top edge of spout. H 7 7/8".
