Schrop, Middlebury, OH, circa 1870, cylindrical jug form with squared spout, two applied handles at the shoulder, and semi-circular bunghole at base with impressed faux screwheads, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a flower with looping stem. Exceptional size and form. Loss to bottom of bunghole. Otherwise excellent condition. H 27".
