×Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F. B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS," circa 1858-1877, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with large design of a crested parrot perched in the crook of two leaves. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. Very nice condition. An approximately 4" x 3" spider line to surface of shoulder on front, not visible on interior. A short, faint line to rim above. A miniscule spot of wear to proper left handle. A small in-the-firing contact mark and iron spot to reverse. H 12 1/2".
