Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN," MA origin, mid 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a fan-shaped flower emanating from a stem flanked by leaves. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with a tiny nick to inner rim for lid and minor in-the-firing chipping to base. H 11 3/4".
