Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "SWAN & STATES / STONINGTON," CT origin, circa 1825, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with brushed highlights to the maker's mark and handle terminals. A 3 1/2" spider line from rim on front. Minor chipping around base. H 7 1/2".
