HERRMANN," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical churn with flared collar and arched tab handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with a two-stemmed clover plant. Impressed with Peter Herrmann maker's mark below one handle. A 1 1/2" in-the-firing base flake. A chip to one handle and some shallow chipping to other handle. A small glazed-over rim chip and two other post-firing rim chips. A 3" hairline from rim. A faint 1 1/2" vertical line to base. H 10 7/8".
