×Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Baltimore, MD origin, 19th century, a one-and-a-half-gallon ovoid jar with elaborate brushed horizontal tulip motif around shoulder, circa 1825; paired with a half-gallon cylindrical jar with brushed clover motifs over a band at the shoulder. Larger jar with a chip to one handle, a small base chip, a minor rim chip, and an in-the-firing contact mark to base. Smaller jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of one-and-a-half-gallon jar) 10 3/4".
