Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1820, both of ovoid form with rounded rims and applied tab handles, a one-gallon example with brushed flowering garland extending between the handles on the front and reverse, paired with a two-gallon jar with brushed horizontal floral motifs. Smaller jar with loss to proper right handle, in otherwise excellent condition. Larger jar with chip to one handle, in-the-firing ping to opposite handle, a base chip, and minor rim chip. H (of smaller jar) 10 1/2".
