Four Small Stoneware Jugs with Dipped Slip, Northeastern U.S. origin, first quarter 19th century, two iron-dipped jugs with tooled spouts, attributed to Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA; an ovoid iron-dipped jug with partial original paper label, inscribed "BAY RUM;" and an ovoid Albany-slip-dipped jug. One Carpenter jug with a spout chip and base chips. Other Carpenter jug with significant cracks, a base chip, and two small flakes to shoulder. "BAY RUM" jug with losses to label and small in-the-firing base chips. Other jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of shortest) 5 3/4".
