×Glazed Redware Trivet with Relief Urn-and-Grapes Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, circular form resting on three molded feet, decorated with relief grape clusters and leaves surrounding a central urn brimming with flowers and grapes. Surface decorated with sponged manganese over yellow clay and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Two partially-colored chips to top edge and a few minor edge nicks. Two small chips to bottom edge, which have been colored and filled with glue. Short hairlines from edge. Minor wear and a small chip to top surface. Diam. 8 1/2".
