Four Multi-Glazed Redware Cream Pitchers, attributed to S. Bell & Sons and/or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, all of ovoid form with footed base and short, flaring collar, three dipped in cream-colored slip and decorated with splashes of copper and manganese, one with related glaze lacking manganese, all covered in a clear lead glaze. Tallest with restoration to rim, short lines to base, a chip to underside at edge, and some light staining and surface wear. One with a few rim chips, staining to surface, and large glaze flakes. Another with large filled and colored rim chips, cracks from rim, and wear to rim, base, handle, and surface. Pitcher lacking manganese with restoration to collar, staining, hairline through handle, and minor base chips. H (of tallest) 6 1/2".
