Two Multi-Glazed Redware Tankard Pitchers, attributed to S. Bell & Sons or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, both of cylindrical form with footed bases and short, flaring collars, one decorated with cream-colored slip and splashes of copper and manganese under a clear lead glaze, the other decorated with splashes of copper and manganese under a clear lead glaze. Taller with wear to rim, flecks of glaze loss to surface, base chips, minor wear to spout and handle, and glaze loss to interior. Shorter with loss to spout, glaze flakes to rim, light surface wear, the handle with a 1" shallow chip and a few glaze flakes, and base chips. H (of taller) 10 1/8".
