Two Multi-Glazed Redware Mugs, attributed to J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, each of barrel form, the larger decorated with splashed copper and manganese over cream-colored slip and covered in a clear lead glaze, the smaller with related glaze, lacking manganese. Taller with an unglazed in-the-firing contact mark to shoulder and base, a few small flakes to top of rim, and a 2 1/4" hairline from rim. Shorter with a small glaze flake to midsection, the rim with wear and a few small chips, the handle with some glaze loss and a small in-the-firing contact mark. H (of taller) 5 1/8".
