Unusual Cobalt Decorated Redware Pitcher with Relief Decoration and Figural Handle, American or European, late 19th century, tankard-form pitcher with relief motif of Romeo and Juliet, the handle hand-modeled in the form of a woman. Surface coated in cream-colored slip, decorated with cobalt, and covered in a clear lead glaze. One rim chip. Wear to rim and handle. Some glaze loss to surface. Two small base chips. H 10".
