Glazed Redware Inkstand, Dated 1870, American, 1870, slab-built, rectangular form with scalloped border and two carved circular openings for a well and sander flanking the incised date, "1870." Surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Damage to scalloped top of inkstand. Wear to two circular openings and edges of inkstand. A crack to proper left upper corner of stand that extends to one circular opening and includes two small reglued pieces. L 8" ; W 4 1/4" ; H 4 1/4".
