HAIDLE & CO. / UNION POTTERY, / NEWARK, N.J.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed stem bearing three flower blossoms. Inscribed "2. G." in cobalt at shoulder. Cobalt accent to maker's mark. A 1 5/8" in-the-firing rim chip on reverse. A small chip to proper right handle. A thin 4 3/4" crack on underside, extending 4 3/4" up proper right side of crock. Staining to surface. H 9".
